Footplates
Divided and Platform
Footplates
Footplates can be flipped up to
facilitate getting in and getting
out of your wheelchair.
They can also be tilted to six
different angles relative to a
level surface. Tighten screw
(1) firmly on the outer side.
By removing the clips (2), the
footplate can be adjusted to
three different positions toward
both the front and rear. Loosen
the adjustment screw (3) to
change the horizontal position
of the footplate. For this
purpose, the footplate must
be flipped up. When finished,
make sure that all screws
have been properly tightened
(see the page on torque).
A minimum interval of 2.5
centimeters from the ground
should always be maintained,
(Fig.4.11 - 4.12 - 4.13).
Footrests and Latch
Install your footrest by inserting
it with the footplate(s) pointing
toward the outside. Then rotate
it toward the in side until it locks
into place (1). To remove the
footrest, depress the latch
(2), swing the footrest toward
the outside and remove it.
Make sure that the footrest is
properly locked into place,
(Fig.4.14).
WARNING!
The footrests should not be
used to lift or to carry the
wheelchair with an occu pant.
Sopur style hangers
(Fig.4.14 - 4.15)
Sopur style hangers have the
opportunity to improve the
performance and adjust the play in the field:
Little effort is needed to ad just the footrest by means
of an eccentric hex nut. Adjustments can be changed
as follows: Loosen screw, (1). Adjust the eccentric hex
nut, (2). Check if the locking mechanism engages and
disengages properly. To make fast again, tighten the
screw firmly while using a wrench to hold the eccentric
hex nut securely, Fig.4.15. (see the page on torque).
Footrests and Latch
Flip-up footrest
(standard or with length adjustment):
To elevate:
Pull the footrest upwards and
adjust it to the desired height.
You will hear the footrest click
into place.
To lower:
Lift the lower leg and press
the release lever to unlock the
footrest. You may now lower
the footrest. As soon as you let
go of the lever, the footrest will lock into place, (Fig.4.17).
WARNING!
•
Keep hands clear of the adjustment mechanism bet -
ween the frame and the movable parts of the foot rest
while elevating or lowering the footrest.
•
Footrests are not to be used for lifting or carrying the
wheelchair.
Head Rest
Head Rest
The headrest can be raised
and moved both forwards and
backwards. To do this, simply
loosen the screw (1 or 2), adjust to
the desired posi tion, and tighten the
screw, Fig.4.18). (see the page on
torque).
Castor
Adjusting the castor
To ensure that both forks are set parallel,
simply count the teeth visible on both
sides.
After setting the castor fork, the teeth will
guarantee a secure position, allowing an
adjustment of 16° in 2° increments.
Use the flat side to check for a right-
angled position to the ground.
The patented design allows the castor
fork to be turned, so that it can be reset
at right-angles to the ground when the
seat angle is changed, (Fig.4.19 - 4.20).

Quickie style hangers
The Quickie hangers offers
improved performance and the
ability to adjust the play in the
field:
Simply loosen the nut, (1) to
allow the asymmetric pin, (2) to
rotate slightly. Position the pin,
(2) so that the hanger has only
minimal play and retighten the
nut, (1), Fig.4.16) (see the page
on torque).
