5. Install the upper fixed shelves
▪
Again, beginning on the
far right
or far left
of the closet
run, connect the first fixed shelf to the first partition. Fit
the shelf loosely between the verticals and slide over the
connector dowels. (Figure 9)
▪
Using the #2 Phillips or Pozi screwdriver, secure the cam
to the dowel with a half turn of the screwdriver. Pull snug,
but be careful not to overtighten and break the connector
dowel or cam fitting. (Figure 10)
▪
Continue with the remaining upper fixed shelves and
loosely tighten cams
▪
NOTE:
Do not
use a power driver or drill for cam
fastening.
7. Continue installing fixed shelves in modules
▪
Similar to the upper fixed shelves, continue installing the
fixed shelves for all the remaining modules. Review the
module reference guide for dowel locations, if needed.
▪
Always begin with the highest fixed shelf first and work
your way down.
▪
Do not
install the adjustable shelves until a later step.
This will make the final install easier.
6. Level and straighten the system
▪
Begin by placing a level on the top of the partitions across
the top fixed shelves. (Figure 11)
▪
Adjust the panel hangers to accommodate variations in
height. Insert your screwdriver in the bottom screw and
turn clock-wise to raise and counter clock-wise to lower
the panel. (Figure 12)
▪
Once all the vertical partitions are level, the next step is to
draw the panels inward towards the backwall. Insert your
screwdriver in the rear adjusting screw and turn clock-
wise to draw panel to wall. Careful not to overtighten or
to pull the fixed shelves apart. The objective is to ease the
system to the back wall. (Figure 13)
