4.2.3.1
Axis Status
The Elevation (EL) and Azimuth (AZ) axes analog / digital position feedback indicators show the pointing position
of the axis with a two-color pointer and digital numerical readout (to XX.000°). The Commanded Position, blue
pointer with blue digital display, indicates the position the axis was instructed to slew to represented by the lower
digital readout. The actual position of the axis is indicated by the Orange pointer represented by the upper digital
readout. Examples are shown in Figure 90.
If a slave position is detected, a green pointer shows the slave pointing angle to the axis. A separate slave digital
numerical readout also displays the slave angle (not shown). The Elevation Up and Down limits for
electromechanical and software indicator lights are located within the center dial, just under the digital displays. The
AZ axis display is identical except for the limit indicators.
Note: A cable wrap system, where AZ motion is not continuous, will have AZ hard and Soft limits and indicators.
