Replacing the Node Chassis

a Access the Service Menu (see Accessing the DXi6902 Service
Menu on page 34).
b Navigate to Serial Numbers > Set System Serial Number .
c Follow the prompts to set the system serial number.
8 If the DXi6902 is configured for NAS, OST, VTL, or PTT, perform the
following actions:
• NAS and OST - Disjoin and rejoin the Active Directory Domain
or Workgroup on the Configuration > NAS > Windows
Domain page in the remote management console.
• VTL and PTT - Restart the host systems.
9 In the remote management console, delete any administrative alerts
and close any service tickets.

This section describes how to remove and replace the DXi6902 Node
chassis and contains the following sections:

Obtaining a
Replacement Node
Chassis
Before beginning the replacement procedure, make sure that you have
the required replacement kit. The appropriate replacement Node chassis
will be provided by Quantum Customer Support (see Figure 94 ).
You will need the following items to perform this procedure:
• Replacement Node chassis kit provided by Quantum Customer
Support.
• Masking tape and felt tip marker (for temporarily labeling hard
drives)
• ESD grounding wrist strap (included in the replacement kit)
