Verify that the service tag number was successfully written using the
Service Menu:

Updating the OEM ID
To update the OEM ID:

Connect to the system node via the iDRAC port and launch the
Virtual Console Viewer (see
Connecting to the System Node Using

In the left pane of the iDRAC main console, click
Overview > iDRAC
Settings > iDRAC Firmware Update
.

Upload the
82DFV_R720_CustBSU.pm
file.
Wait for the iDRAC reboot to complete.

Reboot the system.
Wait for the system to complete one more self reboot before the
updated BIOS splash logo displays.
Verifying iDRAC Settings
After replacing the system board, you must verify that certain iDRAC
settings are set to the Quantum required value, and make any changes
as needed:

As the system boots, press
F2
to display the
System Setup Main
Menu
.

Select
iDRAC Settings
and press
<Enter>
.

Select
LifeCycle Controller
and press
<Enter>
.

Verify that the following two iDRAC settings are set to
Enabled
:

LifeCycle Controller
- Enabled
•
Collect System Inventory On Restart
- Enabled

Press
<ESC>
to return to the
iDRAC Settings Menu

Network
and press
