2.3 PDU requirements for rackless systems
PDUs are not supplied for the rackless version of ActiveScale X100. Follow these PDU requirements to
ensure that the system will function as designed. This section provides information that is necessary in
making the determination about selecting a PDU that will effectively and safely support the power
consumption of the system. The following table lists the power specifications of the system.

2.3.1 PDU requirements, common
The system is configured to have two separate, AC source circuits to provide fully redundant power. Thus,
each source circuit must be able to provide the full power to the system. Typically, each source is provided
to a single socket wired into one of the customer's AC circuits. However, certain customers may have
power configurations that will not provide the required amount of power in a single connection. For
example, there could be a lower power single phase PDU where one PDU cannot provide enough power
for the ActiveScale X100 system. For these power configurations, up to two power connections will be
used for each “source” of the system.

to C14 cables. If these cables are not compatible with the site's selected
PDU and power equipment, the user must provide compatible cables.
