Appendix D – License Updates
If the user wants to request for a license update, Qualitrol must be provided with access to
the device. Else, Qualitrol must be provided with the <serial_number.req> file generated by
the device. As a result, Qualitrol is able to update the existing license details as requested.
For instructions to generate the <serial_number.req> file, refer to Section D.1.
When the TCP-IP communication is established between the device and the computer, open
a Web browser and enter the URL in the following format:
<http:// IP_Address /mfgindex.html>
Note
For the purpose of this manual, the URL shown here has a device with the IP
address 192.168.1.11. Therefore, the URL should be similar to the following
sample URL:
<http://192.168.1.11/mfgindex.html>
On the Web page by default, it displays System Information . The software will prompt the
user to modify the existing license. The instructions in the next section describe how to
modify an INFORMA PMD-A license.
