Note:
Do not close so much as to cause a sooty fl ame.
Improper adjustment can cause sooting in the fi rebox and/or
on the outside of a house with a horizontal termination.

The air shutter is located on the underside of the appliance,
on the right side.
The air shutter is secured with a wing
nut. Loosen the wing nut but do not remove.
Moving the shutter bolt to the right closes the air shutter.
Moving the shutter bolt to the left, will open the air
shutter.
Opening the air shutter causes flames to become shorter
and blue. Closing the air shutter creates taller orange/
yellow flames.
After adjustment, tighten wing nut to lock in place.

K. Air Shutter Adjustment
The air shutter is used to fine-tune the flame as necessary.
The air shutter is shipped in the fully open position.
Allow the unit to operate 15-20 minutes before making any
adjustments to the air shutter. This will give the flame time
to reach its height and color before making adjustments.
The air shutter control bolt adjusts the amount of air that
mixes with the gas as it enters the burner pan.
To adjust the air shutter, remove the screw from the control
panel
.
Rotate forward and lift off.
