Managing Postage Rates

Your Mailing System uses Postage Rates to calculate the postage amount for each piece
of mail your process.
To ensure that your Postage Rates are always up to date, your Mailing System can:
• Display a list of all Postage Rates that are on your system and see which Rate(s)
are currently being used
• Download new Postage Rate files as needed.
NewRate Files are automatically downloaded into your Mailing
System by connecting your Mailing System to the E-Services
Server. See
on page 149 .
Displaying Postage Rates Files
The Rate File List displays all Postage Rate Files that are currently installed on your Mailing
System. Any Rate File appearing with a check mark
is the active Rate File that contains
the Postage Rates you are currently using to calculate your postage.
Rate Files will become active automatically on their effective date.
How to Check your Rate File Updates
To display the list of Postage Rate Files:

Rate Management
The Rate File List appears in the Rate Management Screen.Your Rate Files are listed
by the effective date of each file.
