Other ways to connect IPMI
The AST2400 firmware complies with the IPMI 2.0 specification, so users can use the standard
IPMI driver assigned by the operating system.
IPMI driver
The AST2400 supports Intel-cited drivers and can be obtained from:

With Windows Server 2003 R2, Microsoft also provides IPMI driver packages. You can
also use the Open IPMI driver in the system.
The AST2400 supports the Open IPMI driver for the Linux kernel. Use the following
command to load the IPMI driver: "modprobe ipmi_devintf" "modprobe ipmi_si" If you are
using an older Linux kernel, replace the "ipmi_si" component with "ipmi_kcs".
IPMI tools and other open source software
The AST2400 supports open source IPMI tools. You can also use other software, such as: Open
IPMI, IPMI Utility, etc.
