Starting Up
When the SideKar
Decoder Edition
is powered on, you will
see a welcome screen briefly. For reference, the firmware
version is displayed on this screen:
The SideKar
Decoder Edition
will then automatically attempt a
CAT connection with a rig. It will try 9 times before giving up.
If you
don’t wish to connect to a rig, hold the PB2 button to
abort the process.
Note: turn the rig on first before turning the SideKar Decoder
Edition on (except the Yaesu rigs).
When the SideKar
Decoder Edition
establishes a connection to
a rig, it will briefly let you know. A connection is established
after the SideKar
Decoder Edition
sends a command to the rig
and the rig responds appropriately.

does not connect to the rig
and
