3.2.1 FPSE Motor-Generator with Engine Controller (QEC) – PCK80
The PowerGen is integrated around the Qnergy Power Conversion Kit (PCK) which is a FPSE
motor-generator with Engine Controller - with all the necessary controls and ancillary
equipment to maintain stable and controlled power output across a wide range of operating
conditions. The PCK80 has two main functional sub-components:
• The QB80 heat engine
• The Qnergy Engine Controller (QEC)

3.2.2 FUEL TRAIN
The fuel train functions to ensure that the generator burner receives the right quality and
pressure of combustible mixture of gaseous fuel and air. The air/gas mixer fan (blower) is under
the control of the Fueled Product Controller (FPC) and continuously adjusts the air-to-fuel
proportion to ensure the most efficient combustion. The fuel train consists of the following
components:
•
Pressure Regulator:
reduces the inlet pressure to the required value below 24” WC.
•
Pressure Transducer (sensor):
provides a health-status signal to the FPC that fuel is
present and is within the correct pressure range.
•
Solenoid Shut Off Valve:
for automatic gas flow control provided by FPC.
•
Air-Gas Mixer (Fan/Blower):
Mixes the incoming fuel with ambient air to the correct
air-to-fuel ratio as required by the specific application.
