Preventive Maintenance

General Tips for Extending Printer Life

n

Don’t place anything on the top of the printer.

n

Keep the output levels in the top cover at 150 sheets or less, 
depending upon the type of media. 

If media stacks too high, you may experience trouble with paper 
jams and excessive curl.

n

If you’re not going to use the printer for an extended period of 
time, unplug the power cord from the power source outlet and 
close the manual feed tray.
