network, installing the software, and configuring the interface and
the network. Chapter 2, “Printer Configuration,” of
QMS Crown-
Net Interface System Administrator’s Guide (also on the QMS
Software Utilities CD-ROM) provides information on setting the
network interface parameters. Chapter 5, “Additional Technical
Information,” of the
Reference manual contains a full discussion
of the PS Protocol option that appears in the Administration/Com-
munications/Network
x/CrownNet menu.

In addition to the two standard interfaces—Centronics/IEEE 1284
parallel and CrownNet Ethernet—the QMS 2060 Print System sup-
ports an optional CrownNet Ethernet, CrownNet Token-Ring, or
LocalTalk interface. The LocalTalk interface can be used to connect
the printer to a single Macintosh or to a LocalTalk network.
An optional interface may be installed in the optional interface open-
ing on the back of the printer. This opening is to the left of the other
interface ports and it is covered with a rectangular metal plate.
