Verifying the Serial Port Setting Changes

Reboot the printer.

Compare the serial port settings listed on the start-up page
to those in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.

Try the communication test again.
If a blank page ejects from the printer, the printer and the com-
puter are communicating.
If a blank page doesn’t eject and you typed the file correctly, see
the following section, “Printer Problem Checklist,” and refer to
your DOS documentation for more information.

you have correctly followed the steps outlined in
Getting Started
.
If there is no status message in the message window, use the following
steps to identify the source of your problem and to learn possible
solutions:
