QEI.
The test panel can also serve as a troubleshooting aid for the Remote Subsystem
hardware and/or firmware.
The test panel is designed to be used by qualified service personnel having a
background in digital telemetry and SCADA systems, and must be familiar with the
ePAQ, and its intended use as a part of the over all system installation.
As a pre-requisite the operator should have a working knowledge of PCs and a
computer and/or have thoroughly reviewed all documentation provided by the
original PC Laptop computer manufacturer.
14.2
Requirements
The following equipment is required for using the test panel commands:
A laptop computer (PC) having a USB port (for local connection) or
100BaseT ethernet port.
Terminal emulation software such as Win
dows XP’s “HyperTerminal”,
or equivalent (for local configuration.)
USB type A-B cable (for local connection.)

Functional Test Capability
Whether performed for post-installation checkout or maintenance purposes, the
following tests can be made with the test panel:
Analog Monitoring
Status Monitoring
Accumulator Monitoring
Pulse Duration Measurements
Control Operation
Set Point Operation
Master-Remote Communication Monitoring
Security Features
14.3.1
Analog Monitoring
The test panel may be used to display the value of any analog point within the ePAQ
subsystem. The information displayed (unscaled raw value) will represent the digital
value produced by the subsystem's analog-to-digital conversion of the analog input
value. Although the ePAQ hardware does not contain physical analog measurement
points of its own, analog point values within the overall subsystem (up to eight at a
time) can be displayed.
