Wireless Flat Lens External Detector

RINS1901-1

1. Installation

Scan the QR code for fixing instructions and adapter information. Ensure that the detector is installed
away from reflected sunlight and large objects.

2. Switches

If you disable the detector’s LEDs, you can remotely enable them in walk tests.

3. Microwave range and angle of detection

Use the highlighted dials to change the microwave range and angle of detection.

4. LEDs

Four LEDs show the status of the detector.

5. Lens inserts

Use lens inserts to control the coverage area.

6. Learning procedure

To connect the detector to a control panel, follow the learning procedure. When you first install the
batteries in the detector, LED1 and LED4 flash alternately. On the control panel, go to ‘Wireless Device
Control’, then press and hold the LEARN button on the detector until the LEDs start to flash. When
LED1 flashes and the control panel shows it is connected to the detector, the procedure is complete.
After powering up and after learning, there is a 10 minute timer that allows a walk test of the PIR and
microwave sensors. You can set up the sensitivity and microwave range without using the control
panel to perform a walk test. After 10 minutes, the detector enters sleep mode.

7. Signal strength test

On the control panel, check the signal strength of wireless devices. Within 300 seconds, the control
panel shows a signal strength from 0 (no signal) to 3 (strong signal). Hold the detector where you want
to install it and check LED1 and LED4. If LED4 flashes (signal strength 0 or 1), choose a new position
for the detector.

8. Battery level test

On the control panel, check the battery level of wireless devices. Within 300 seconds, the control panel
shows the battery levels. If the battery level of the detector is low, replace both batteries at the same
time.

9. External tamper input
