6.6.2.1 [621 ZERO ADJUSTM] – Adjust zero
To adjust the zero of the scale without performing a full calibration.
1. Press the
<ENTER>
key at the
[621 ZERO ADJUSTM]
prompt to start the zero adjustment.
2. At the
[UNLOAD THE PAN]
prompt, remove any weight from the platform or scale, then press the
<ENTER>
key.
3. The indicator automatically starts to capture zero and the
[WAIT]
message is displayed indicating
the operation is in progress.
6.6.2.2 [622 SPAN ADJUSTM] – Adjust span
To adjust the span of the scale without performing a full calibration.
1. Press the
<ENTER>
key at the
[622 SPAN ADJUSTM]
prompt to start the span adjustment.
2. At the
[XXXXXX]
prompt, the test weight value that will be used for the calibration is shown on the
display. If the value of the test weights that will be used is different from the value shown on the
display, enter the new value via the keys. A minimum of 20% of scale capacity is necessary for
calibration; PT recommends 50 to 100%. A calibration error will result if insufficient weight is used.
3. Place the test weights or another convenient weight on the scale.
4. Press the
<ENTER>
key to start span calibration. The
[WAIT]
message will be shown on the
display for approximately 10 seconds while span calibration is being performed.
6.6.2.3 [623 S UNDER LOAD] – Adj. Span loaded
To adjust the span of the scale while loaded without having to remove the load. This is very useful for
calibrating tanks and hoppers that cannot be conveniently emptied.
1. Press the
<ENTER>
key at the
[623 S UNDER LOAD]
prompt to start the span adjustment under
load.
2. the
[P.ZERO]
prompt appears on the display to indicate the current scale load will be determined as
a temporary zero for purposes of calibration.
3. Press the
<ENTER>
key and the display will show
[WAIT]
during temporary zero adjustment.
4. At the
[LOAD]
prompt followed a little while later by the
[XXXXXX]
prompt, enter the test weight
value that will be used for the calibration as seen on the display. If the value of the test weights that
will be used is different from the value shown on the display, enter the new value via the keys.
5. Place the test weights or another convenient weight on the scale.
6. Press the
<ENTER>
key to start span calibration. The
[WAIT]
message will shown on the display
for approximately 10 seconds while span calibration is being performed.
6.6.2.4 [624 GRAVITY CAL] – Calibration gravity
Note:
This parameter should ONLY be used for a scale that will be initially verified in two stages by
gravity adjustment in legal metrology applications. It is useful for calibraing the scale in the
manufacturers premises prior to shipping.
This parameter is the acceleration due to gravity (g) in m/s
2
at the location of calibration.
1. Press the
<ENTER>
key at the
[624 GRAVITY CAL : 9.80255]
prompt. Enter the gravity
acceleration value at the place of the calibration.
2. Press the
<ENTER>
key to confirm.
6.6.2.5 [625 GRAVITY USAG] – Installed gravity
Note:
This parameter should ONLY be used for a scale that will be initially verified in two stages by
gravity adjustment in legal metrology applications.
Note:
This parameter is set after the scale is calibrated.
This parameter is the acceleration due to gravity (g) in m/s
2
at the location of scale installation.
1. Press the
<ENTER>
key at the
[625 GRAVITY USAG : 9.80255]
prompt. Enter the gravity
acceleration value at the place of the scale installation.
2. Press the
<ENTER>
key to confirm.
6.6.3 [63_] – Coefficients
Parameters to show the coefficients used by the indicator during calibration.
6.6.3.1 [631 TEST WEIGHT] – Calibration weight
The test weight used during calibration is indicated here.
6.6.3.2 [632 ZERO COEFFIC] – Zero coeficient
This coefficient determines the zero point of the scale.
