2D Handheld Reader
Postamble
[Default = carriage return/line feed]. The postamble is
placed at the end of transmitted decoded symbol data.
The postamble is a text field that can have up to 20 ASCII
characters. Postambles are commonly used to provide a
standard end-of-transmission character. The default pos-
tamble is ‘\013’, a carriage return and ‘\010’, a line feed.
Send Symbology ID (AIM)
[Default = disabled]. This option (see Figure 32) is pro-
vided so the host computer can identify the type of sym-
bol captured, as well as the encoded information. Table 2
on page 47 lists the AIM ID codes.
Transmitting the AIM ID implies sending ’]cm’, where, ‘]’
is ACII value 93, ’c’ is the AIM-ID from the table, and ‘m’
is an additional modifier as defined by AIM.
