AUTOMATIC TIMER / DRAIN VALVES
One of the switches marked 1 through 4 and one of the switches marked 5 through
8 must be at the “on” position. If they are not, the Timer Drains
will not operate.
To be certain that the timer drain does operate when you receive it, it is set at the
factory to blow down every ½ hour (switch 2) for 9 seconds (switch 6). Switches
are located on the printed circuit board, inside the cover. See reverse side of this
bulletin for switch settings
.
Adjustment Of Cam For Proper Operation If Valve Does Not Open Or
Close Fully:
Although this timer drain has been thoroughly checked at the factory for proper
operation, it is possible for the cam to become loose and not engage properly to
turn the ball valve to the “full open” position or to the “full closed” position.
If the ball valve does not fully open or fully close, adjust the cam as
follows:
1. Remove the six socket head cap screws which hold the cover on and lift off
cover to expose the internals.
2. Remove circuit board.
3. Using a 3/64” Allen wrench, loosen set screw inside of cam alongside
microswitch. (If necessary, energize the motor to rotate the cam for
accessibility to set screw.
Caution:
Do not short out circuit board.) Rotate
the cam slightly, either left or right, checking location of ball inside valve to
assure proper opening and closing. Retighten set screw and reinstall circuit
board after proper adjustment has been made.
4. Replacement parts can be ordered from the factory or from your
local PSB-General Air Distributor.
