menu -> Change exposure time.
However, changing exposure during print may result in visible
lines across the printed object. Extremely low or high numbers will almost always result in a failed
print.
Important information about print times
Keep in mind that no matter how many objects (or how big) you place on the print platform, the
exposure time remains constant, so each layer will be finished in the same amount of time. In
other words, printing a single 10 cm tall object or a dozen of 10 cm tall objects placed next to
each other will always take the same amount of time. This is a major difference when compared
to FFF/FDM printers. Take advantage of it!
6.10. Slicing, exporting and printing custom models
Once your object is placed on the printing bed correctly and supports are generated, you can press
the
Slice now
button. Slice will analyze and process the 3D model and turn it into a number of
separate layers.
Inspect the object in the Preview window
using the slider on the right side of the window. If
everything seems to be ok, press the
Export
button to generate an .SL1S file. Place this file on a
USB drive and connect it into the printer. Tap the
icon to display a list of compatible projects
on the drive. Select the desired model and confirm it with the Continue button. You can also
upload files directly into the SL1’s internal storage. See chapter
7 Connecting PrusaSlicer to SL1S
over the network.
6.11. Object orientation and slicing examples
There are different kinds of objects you can print, so it’s nearly impossible to give exact
instructions for every type of model out there. On the following pages, we’re offering a selection of
popular models and offer some tips on how to position them before printing.
