VIBXPERT 11.2010
Before every measurement, VIBXPERT checks that the sensor and
cables are correctly connected if sensor detection is activated in the
device setup (p. 2-22). In measurements with trigger (phase,
orbit,...) the trigger signal is monitored (green LED flashes at every
pulse). If the trigger signal fails during measurement, the green
LED flashes. The measurement must then be repeated.
Continuous measurement (live mode)
In ‘live mode’, the signal is measured and displayed continuously.
This lets you check the signal and the stability of the measurement. It
is not available for time-limited measurements, such as the coast-
down curve and impact test. The live mode is activated in the Display
Setup (see p. 4-15) or by keeping the joystick pressed when the
measurement starts. The actual data collection begins when you
release the joystick, or press the joystick again.
Measurement progress is indicated by a bar at the top edge of the
screen. In the live mode, the ‘Live’ symbol appears in the title bar
and the progress bar remains at 0% (see below).
Save result
After completing a measurement, the blue LED lights if no measurement
failures have occurred and no limit value has been exceeded (P. 2-2).
• Press the MENU key and click on 'Save' (see below). The file
manager opens.
• Enter a file name (File manager and Text editor see P. 6-2ff).
