Using the drop-down menu, change the value for the Interrupt
Request and I/O Base Address if the default settings are conflict-
ing with another system device.
Note:
If you change the I/O Base Address value in the
“Proxim RangeLAN2 7100 Adapter Properties”
screen, you must also change the dip switch settings on
the back of the card. See Appendix A for information
on how to set the dip switch to the appropriate I/O Base
Address value.
Click <OK> to return to the Network configuration screen, and
click <OK> again to return to the Windows 95 or 98 desktop.
Restart the computer when prompted. Alternatively, you may
want to shut down the computer if you need to change the posi-
tions of the dip switches on the back of the ISA adapter.
After the computer restarts, the RangeLAN2 Windows 95/98
driver should be loaded successfully. However, if you still
experience problems, see Chapter 8 for more troubleshooting
suggestions.
The installation procedure will also install the RangeLAN2
Utilities. The utilities are added to a new folder under Start Menu/
Programs called RangeLAN2 Utilities. It will contain the
RangeLAN2 Site Survey & Configuration Tool and the
RangeLAN2 Status Monitor. The RangeLAN2 Status Monitor is
also added to the StartUp folder and will be launched each time
the operating system starts.
See Appendix B for more information on the RangeLAN2
Utilities.
