Congratulations on the purchase of your PROTECTOR ELECTRONIC DIAL
anti-theft safe with electronic dial combination lock with LED display.
Manual
First, read the manual carefully before you start using the safe.
Never keep the override keys inside or close to the safe!!!
The batteries for the lock are delivered with the safe. When you open the door , you see the battery compartment on the
inside of the door. Slide the lid to the right to open the compartment, insert the batteries in the correct manner and put the
lid back in place (see figure 2)
To open the safe
The standard factory code is 00 00 00 00 00
Turn the knob until you see 00 in the display. Now press the knob. You will hear a beep and the 00 will flash three
times.
Now press the knob 4 times, in the display 4 small circles will appear, one for each correct entry. And after the 4
th
press
on the knob an open lock
will appear (See figure 3.2 and 3.4)
The bolts retract automatically and by pulling the door towards you the safe will open
To close the safe
Close the door and press the knob. The door will now be locked.
When the display shows EE, that flashes 3 times, it means that the door is blocked. Open the door and remove the
item that is blocking the door. Close the door and press the knob again.
Wrong code
E1 , E2 or E3 displayed on screen indicates invalid code entry.
_______ displayed on the screen indicates that you have entered three consecutive invalid codes. You will have
to wait for 2 minutes before you can enter another code.
To program the dial combination lock
Always change the code with the door open and try the new code a couple of times to check if it works correctly.
The button to change the code is located on the inside of the door behind the lid of the battery compartment
Press the button to change the code (the display:
and two beeps)
With the door open, you choose the first two digits (00-99) of your personal code by turning the dial. By pressing
the knob you will validate the first 2 digits, you will hear a beep for confirmation.
Repeat this procedure 4 times, so that you have entered all 10 digits of your personal code. When you press the
knob for the last time, the display (
) will flash three times and then the key will
disappear, this means that the
code has been changed.
Keep the door open while you press the knob, the bolts will now come out automatically
Open the safe according to the normal procedure
Try the new code a couple of times with the door open.
Power safe status
When there is more than 20 seconds between actions, the display will go black and the lock will go into power safe
status.
To change the batteries
When a battery appears in the display (See figure 3.3) this means that the batteries are low and have to be changed.
The battery compartment is located on the inside of the door and contains 4 x 1,5 volt batteries.
To open the safe with the override key
Never keep the override keys inside or close to the safe!!!
When you have not changed the batteries in time or have forgotten the code you can not open the safe with the
electronic lock. You can then open the safe with one of the two override keys that have been delivered with the safe
Remove the display from the lock (See figure 1) Behind the display you will find the key lock to open the safe with the
override key.
