6.1 Inserting the dessicant
The DULCO turb C is equipped with a dehumidifying device. A bag
of dessicant in the DULCO turb C dries the air. The thermal dis‐
charge from the sensor is used to heat the air. A fan mounted
inside the DULCO turb C circulates the warm air around the optical
protective tube and the cuvette. The DULCO turb C continuously
monitors the state of the bag of dessicant. Replacement of the des‐
sicant is indicated in the lower row of the LCD display; Warning
[DESC] (for [desiccant]). Replacement bags of dessicant can be
obtained from ProMinent or from your local contact.
Saturated dessicant can trigger an alarm to alert you to the need
for a pending replacement.
NOTICE!
Sensor housing seal
Possibility of the premature saturation of the dessi‐
cant.
A damaged seal can lead to premature saturation
of the dessicant.
Check this seal every time the dessicant is
replaced. Correct the seating of the seal or replace
the seal if necessary.
1.
INFORMATION! Remove the transport retainer before
inserting the bag of dessicant for the first time. You can sub‐
sequently dispose of this pipe.
2.
Loosen the 4 screws at the corners of the housing and
remove the top part of the DULCO turb C

3.
Immediately insert the bag of dessicant as soon as the pack‐
aging has been removed to avoid premature saturation.
Remove the new bag of dessicant (2) from the packaging
and place the bag of dessicant together with the humidity
indicator card (3) in the lower part of the DULCO turb C (1).
To do so, place the humidity indicator card (3) on the new
bag of dessicant (2).
4.
Replace the top part on the lower part and tighten the 4
