2.2 Function
Use the DULCOTEST
®
CDR 1 sensor to selec‐
tively measure the concentration of chlorine
dioxide (ClO
2
), even in the presence of free
chlorine. The cross-sensitivity to free chlorine is
< 2 %.
The sensor is a diaphragm-covered, ampero‐
metric two-electrode sensor.
The chlorine dioxide passes through the dia‐
phragm and is electrochemically transformed
on the working electrode.
The primary current signal from this is electroni‐
cally amplified, temperature-compensated and
transmitted as an uncalibrated 4 ... 20 mA
signal to the measuring/control unit.
2.3 Typical applications
Process water, flushing water, cooling water,
waste water and irrigation water for agriculture.
Continuous operation at media temperatures of
up to 55°C, transient up to 60°C.
