11.4.11 Replacing the O-rings on the underside of the production tank

WARNING!
Danger from product residue in the production tank

or the connecting part
Possible consequence: Fatal or very serious inju‐

ries from chlorine residue.
Measure: During maintenance on the production

tank, wear the goggles and gloves provided.
Collect the product residue in a suitable vessel.
Ventilate the room during maintenance.

Unscrew the threaded connectors of the connecting part (1)

between the production tank and the caustic tank.

Replace the FKM O-rings (DIN ISO 1629) on both sides of

the connecting part.

Loosen the couplings under the production tank.

Replace the coupling O-rings under the production tank.

Fit the couplings under the production tank.

Fit the shut-off valves under the couplings.

Fit the connecting section.

Tighten the threaded connectors on both tanks.
