9.1.7 Various faults
This alarm occurs if the chlorine gas detector detects chlorine gas.
The following causes are possible:
n
The anode side of the membrane cell has a leak.
n
Product is leaking from the production tank.
This alarm occurs if hard water is detected by the water hardness
analyser. The following causes are possible:
n
The softener has a mechanical fault.
n
No brine is drawn by suction into the water softener.
n
The water softener is incorrectly set up.
This alarm occurs if the liquid level in the brine tank is too high.
The following causes are possible:
n
The level switch is faulty.
n
The brine tank filling valve has an internal leak.
n
The brine tank is filled with external liquids.
This alarm occurs if an insufficient volume of brine is taken up
twice during regeneration of the softener. The following causes are
possible:
n
Too little or no water in the brine tank
n
The brine valve does not open.
This alarm occurs if liquid enters the protection tray of the chlorine
tank until it triggers the level switch. The following causes are pos‐
sible:
n
The product tank has a leak.
n
The level switch is defective.
n
The product tank is filled with external liquids.
This alarm occurs if maintenance has not been performed 10 days
after the
[Perform maintenance] message has appeared.
9.2 Messages

The following messages are displayed in the alarm list. These
messages will not necessarily stop the system. Repetition of these
messages can cause faults. Eliminate the messages during daily
inspection and maintenance.
9.2.1 Process Water Flow Meter Faulty
This message occurs if the liquid level in the lye storage tank is too
high after the filling valve for the lye storage tank has been opened
and no flow is measured.
