Mototronik 19
11.3 Removing the motor unit from the connection frame
STANDARD HANDLEBAR
The device MUST be switched off
–
see chapters 10.1 and 12.3.
Brake the wheelchair with its own parking brakes.
Push the handlebar forwards a little, then press and keep pressed the brake lever
N
.
Press the button
O
to open the lock double hook, see chapter 11.2.
The button may be hard to push, that is due to the pressure exerted by the wheelchair and by the motor unit right on the axle
I2
. To release that pressure, keep the brake lever pressed, push the handlebar
forwards, and press the button.
Now, after releasing the brake lever, the motor unit detaches from the axle
I2
and it moves ahead pivoting on the axle
I1
that is still inserted in the hook of the coupling block.
Push the motor unit forwards to detach it from the connection frame. The motor will remain in an upright position thanks to the stand.
While removing the MOTOTRONIK, pay maximum attention to the safety of the upper limbs (fingers, hands, arms) as they may be affected by the abrupt movement of the handlebar (or
other parts of the device) if it is released too quickly. To avoid such danger, after pressing the release button, gently release the handlebar by lowering the wheelchair gently.

TETRA HANDLEBAR
The same as for the lever, the two operations described
above take place at the same time.
Similar to what is described for the standard
handlebar, but with the following observations.
Do not brake the wheelchair.
With the "Tetra" handlebar, when pushing the
handlebar forward, you operate the brake.
Press the button
O
and release the brake (let the
handlebar turn backwards).
If the device is equipped
with the
P
lever to facilitate
the release operation, push
the lever outwards to push
the button
O
–
see chapter
