Folding/unfolding the backrest
The model JOKER ENERGY / NOIR is a rigid frame wheelchair and you can fold the backrest only.
While folding the backrest down, take care not to squeeze your fingers between the
backrest tube and the side guard.
OPENING THE BACKREST
With one hand, take hold of the string A that is located at the lower side of the backrest and pull it
up to unlock the pin P from the support S (this operation is not necessary if the backrest is not
provided with double lock plate).
With your other hand, take hold on the backrest tube’s handle grip or on the backrest’s rigidizer.
Turn the backrest to its upright position (for the first short stretch, hold the string A, then it is not
necessary).
A click will indicate the backrest is locked; the pin P is locked to the hole of the plate S.
Before using the wheelchair, always check the
backrest is locked in its upright position.
In order to check whether the backrest is correctly open, take
hold of the front frame with one hand, the backrest’s handle grip
with the other and try to move the backrest tube frontward and
backward.
When correctly locked, the backrest tube will allow just a little play.
