3. Quick start up
The following are the basic steps for basic configuration of KDC3900 system. Programming is
done via two programming menu:
•
Graphic
– borrowed from KDC3100 (available only for KDC39XX keyboards)
•
A-
– borrowed from KDC1905
The operation should start from the graphic menu:
a) Entering the
“ graphical ”
programming: press and hold down while idle
0 -> -> 240360 -> installer code (default ‘ 0000 ’ ).
2) Keyboard security:
a)
Enter the “ Settings ” submenu using buttons and , by confirming with button , then
select “ Installer code ”
b) The cassette will display the current code. Delete the old code with button , enter a new
installer code, confirm with button , enter a new code again and confirm with button
The code can also be changed from the old type programming menu in submenu A-7 (see
chapter 10.7)
– this is the only option for BM0900
3) Entering residents ’ data (KDC39XX keyboard only):
a) Enter in the “ Editing the residents list ”
b) Press , “ Edit entry ” or “ New entry ”
c) Fill in the “ Premises number ” field – this is a number entered by the user from keyboard
d) The field “ Destination number ” is used to redirect a number entered from keyboard (e.g.
from 100a to 250)
e) In the ‘ Lock code ’ field you can overwrite standard code, which is generated by a code
table (attached to the device in paper form)
f) IDs are recorded via item “ RFID ” – press , select “ Add RFID ” and then bring next IDs
closer to the keyboard digit. All of them will be added to the edited entry
g) In the “ Surname ” field you can enter a text, which will be displayed on the residents list
available from the main screen. It is also possible to hide the entry by entering the value
1 in the
“ Hidden ” field.
4) Configuration of display and volume:
a)
Go to the “ Adjustments ” tab
b) Using buttons 1-5 it is possible to change the adjusted parameter, the button 0 changes
adjustment step
•
1 – volume of beeper from the button
•
2 – volume of ringing tone on the keyboard
•
3 – contrast
•
4 – backlight brightness in active state
•
5 – backlight brightness at idle (lifting above 50% is not recommended)
c) Locking configuration – if other than standard 12V locking is used. The configuration is
described in chapter 11.5.2
