Manually Uploading Data for Analysis
Upload data collected for a person to the Realize Language website for analysis.
1.
Connect the device to the computer and open iTunes on the computer..
2.
In iTunes on the computer, select the device icon in the upper left corner.
3.
In the window that opens on the left, select
File Sharing
.
4.
In the Apps column, select the
Words for Life
app.
5.
From the column under Words for Life Documents, select the
logFile.rtf
file that you are uploading.
6.
Select the
Save
button at the bottom right and browse to a folder to save the file.
7.
Choose
Select Folder
. The file will be saved to the selected folder.
8.
Select
Done
to close File Sharing.
9.
Log onto the Realize Language website.
10.
Select
Upload Data File
and then
Select a File to Upload
.
11.
Select the file and click
Upload
.

In LAMP Words for Life, select
Menu
.
2.
Select
Settings
.
3.
Scroll down and select the
Realize Language Setup
.
4.
Enter your Realize email address, your Realize password, and the Device user name.
5.
If you have already added the name of the person who will be using the iPad to your Realize
Language account, it will appear in the Users list. Select the name. If you have more than one person
in your Realize account, make sure you choose the right one.
6.
If you have
not
already added the name of the client who will be using the iPad to your Realize
Language account, you can click on the
+
at the top right and type the name into the Device User
Name box that appears. When you select
Save
, you will now see this name the next time you open
your account on the Realize Language website.
7.
Your device is now linked to your Realize Language account. New data is uploaded automatically via
Wi-Fi every 24 hours. When there isn’t an active Wi-Fi connection, the software continues logging
and performs an upload as soon as a Wi-Fi link is available. At any time, you can go into
Menu
>
Settings
>
Realize Language Setup
and choose the
Update Now
button to perform an immediate
upload.
