Calibration Card
Purpose:
1. The Calibration Card is used to ensure that the ODV2D-V2 is reporting reflectance values accurately.
When to use the Calibration Card:
2. Must be used when the ODV2D-V2 unit is first mounted on the printer.
3. Should be used if the printer is moved to a different lighting environment or there is a high barcode failure rate
noticed.
General Guidelines:
1. CLEAN !! CLEAN !! CLEAN !! It is important that the ODV2D-V2 glass is clean and free from fingerprints,
smudges, dust, and any debris in order to avoid calibrating the unit with imperfections on glass.
2. Printer cover should be down to reduce interference from ambient light.
3. Peel/Tear door must be open.
4. Only the Calibration Card should be placed in the scan line during calibration. Media should be removed from the
tear bar to prevent uneven calibration surface. Remove the ribbon if it is installed.
5. The Calibration Card should be kept clean from damage, scratches, smudges, dirt and other debris and should
always be stored in the plastic sleeve it was shipped in. Any Calibration Card that is dirty or damaged should not
be used and must be replaced.
6. The Calibration Card should only be handled by the edges
, or the center section (“TOUCH HERE ONLY”)
Installing White Gain Calibration Card:
