Confirm that the new external address has been assigned:
#
ifconfig veth31
The veth31 address on cBlade 2 should match the address you just
configured with the
intnet
command on cBlade 1.
Note:
If you will be adding more than one BladeFrame BF200 to a
PAN, in order to create a BladeFarm, and you wish to change the IP
address of the internal managment network on one or more member
BladeFrame BF200s, you must use the
frame_name
argument to
the
intnet
command. The syntax is:
#
intnet -N
Network_IP
-M
Netmask
-B
Broadcast_IP
frame_name
Only BladeFrame BF200s with the cBlade EX model may join a
PAN. For more information on BladeFrame BF200s in a PAN, see
PAN Manager Administrator’s Guide
.
Note:
The
intnet
command does not update the Network Time
Protocol (NTP) service (
ntpd
). If you change the internal IP
addresses of the cBlades, you need to manually the edit
ntp.conf
file with the new IP addresses.
Modifying Host
Names
If you have changed the BladeFrame BF200 IP addresses, you do
not need to assign new host names before you connect the
BladeFrame to your network. However, if you would like to change
the default cBlade host names to something more meaningful for
you, you can do so. The following are the default cBlade host
names:

control-blade-A
•
control-blade-B
To change cBlade host names:
1.
Connect your console to cBlade 1.
