Configuring BladeFrames for Inclusion in the Same PAN
If you will be adding more than one BladeFrame BF200 to a PAN,
in order to create a BladeFarm, all of the member BladeFrame
BF200s must be on the same external managment network.
To configure each BladeFrame BF200 for inclusion in a PAN:
1.
Use the procedure above to set the external managment IP
address of each BladeFrame BF200 to be included in the PAN.
2.
Conduct BladeFrame BF200-to-BladeFrame BF200 ping tests
to ensure connectivity on the management network.
Changes to the external management network must be made prior
to joining a PAN. Only BladeFrame BF200s with the cBlade EX
model may join a PAN. For more information on multiple
BladeFrame BF200s in a PAN, see
PAN Manager Administrator’s
Guide
.
Modifying
Internal
Management IP
Addresses
Each pServer that you configure connects to the BladeFrame
BF200 internal management network, namely 192.168.255.0.
pServers can use any private network in the range 192.168.0.0 to
192.168.254.0. If for some reason a pServer cannot use
192.168.255.0, you must change the IP address of the BladeFrame
BF200 internal management network.
Use the
intnet
command to change the following default internal
management addresses on the BladeFrame BF200.
Table 5.3
shows
the default IP address.
