Change the IP addresses using the
extnet
command. Enter all
addresses in the same command line, in the following format:

extnet -P
PAN_Mgr_IP
-1
Control Blade_1_IP
-2
Control Blade_2_IP
-G
Gateway_IP
-B
Broadcast_IP
-M
Netmask
where:
PAN_Mgr_IP
is the IP address of PAN Manager.
Control Blade_1_IP
is the IP address of cBlade 1.
Control Blade_2_IP
is the IP address of cBlade 2.
Gateway_IP
is the gateway IP address.
Broadcast_IP
is the Broadcast IP address.
Netmask
is the network mask IP address.

The prompt displays
Activate external network
configuration (y/n)
. Type
y
to configure the new addresses
entered in the preceding step, or type
n
to discard the addresses.
5.
Verify that addresses have changed, by entering the following:
#
extnet
This displays the current IP address for each of the interfaces.
Control Blade 2 automatically picks up these address changes from
Control Blade 1.
To confirm this:
1.
Connect your console to Control Blade 2.
2.
Log on as
root
if you are not already logged on.
3.
Confirm that the new external address has been assigned:
#
ifconfig veth30
The veth30 address on cBlade 2 should match the address you
just configured with the
extnet
command on cBlade 1.
