The 30-amp chassis uses a fixed power cable (see Figure 4.3). The
cable has the following characteristics:
•
The cable uses a shielded cord with an integral braided metallic
shield.
•
There is a “pigtail” lead attached to the braided metallic shield
at the L6-30P connector end of the cable, in addition to the two
conductor wires and the Green/Yellow ground wire. The lead is
formed by twisting the braided shield and covering it with heat-
shrink tubing. This shield lead is connected to the same ground
lug in the L6-30P connector to which the Green/Yellow wire is
connected.
•
The shield is terminated to the BladeFrame BF200 chassis end
of the cable with the gland nut that attaches the cable to the
BladeFrame BF200. This termination is done in the factory
during manufacturing.
•
The cable length is 12 feet (3.7 meters).

To power on the BladeFrame BF200:
1.
Connect the BladeFrame BF200 power receptacle to a 200/208
Volt, power source using a NEMA L6-20P or NEMA L6-30P
cable (or IEC 309 cable for installations outside of North
America).
