Filler blades are installed in the six pBlade slots of each new
BladeFrame BF200 system in manufacturing.
You must remove
the filler blades before you install the BladeFrame BF200
chassis in the rack.
You can easily distinguish a filler blade by the absence of a
BladeLatch. A filler blade uses a swivel finger-pull mechanism,
shown extended in
Figure 3.11
.
Removing Filler Blades
To remove filler blades:
1.
Push on the end of the filler blade’s finger-pull mechanism.

shows.

2.
Manipulating the finger-pull mechanism, remove the filler
blade.
3.
Repeat for each slot that will contain a pBlade.
Installing Filler Blades
You must install filler blades in the pBlades slots that have no
pBlades installed.
To install filler blades:
1.
Facing the front of the BladeFrame BF200, lift the filler blade so
that the front panel faces you with the finger-pull at the bottom.
