Testing Connectivity
After your cBlades are booted and the BladeFrame BF200 is
connected to your network and SAN, it’s ready for a connectivity
test.
Testing Network
Connectivity
To test BladeFrame network connectivity:
•
From a Linux or Windows workstation on your network, enter
the following:
ping
PAN_Manager_IP_address
If you receive a reply to the ping, network connectivity is
confirmed. If you do not receive a reply to the ping, make sure all
connectors are well-seated. If you still do not receive a reply,
contact Fujitsu Siemens Computers customer support or your
authorized service provider for assistance.
Testing SAN
Connectivity
To test BladeFrame SAN connectivity:
1.
Open a management console session on a Control Blade.
2.
Log on to the Control Blade as
root
.
3.
At the Linux prompt, enter the following:
#
disk
This displays a list of all disks visible to the Control Blade. If you
see a list of available disks, SAN connectivity is confirmed. If you
do not see a list of disks, make sure all connectors are well-seated.
If you still do not see a list of disks, contact Fujitsu Siemens
Computers customer support or your authorized service provider
for assistance.
