4.3 Connecting a HDTV Set-top Box
CAUTION: Disconnect all power sources before making any connections.
Using the HDMI Connection
1. Prepare the HDMI cable.
2. Connect one end of the corresponding HDMI cable to the HDMI connector on your LCD TV. Connect the other end to
the connector of the HDTV Set-top box.
3. To watch HDTV, turn on your LCD TV, press the SOURCE button to open the Main Source menu. Press ( to scroll through
the source list and select HDMI as the input source. Press ENTER to confirm HDMI as your selection.
4. Turn on the HDTV Set-top box.
NOTE: For more information, see the instructions supplied with your HDTV Set-top box.
Using the Component Video Connection
NOTE: If your HDTV Set-top box has an HDMI output connector it is recommended to use the
HDMI connection described earlier in this section to achieve optimal picture and sound quality.
1. Prepare the Y/Pb/Pr component cables and the audio cables for this connection.
2. Connect one end of the Y cable (green) to the Y connector (green) at the AV2 location on the LCD TV. Connect the other
end to the corresponding Y connector (green) on the HDTV Set-top box.
3. Connect one end of the Pb cable (blue) to the Pb connector (blue) at the AV2 location on the LCD TV. Connect the other
end to the corresponding Pb connector (blue) on the HDTV Set-top box.
4. Connect one end of the Pr cable (red) to the Pr connector (red) at the AV2 location on the LCD TV. Connect the other
