Setting the MicrophoneLevel

To set your Revelator io24’s input level, press the Channel button for the Channel
youwouldliketouse.Next,presstheencodertocyclethroughtheavailableoptions.
Ayellowunderlinewillindicatethecurrently-selectedoption.Onceyou’veselected
theGainsetting—it’sshownbelowtheChannelindicatornumberandmeasuredin
dB (decibels)—turn the Encoder to set the desired gain level.

Ifyourinputlevelistooloud,theclipindicatorwilldisplayinredabove

sounddistorted.Ifyourinputsignalclips,itwilloverloadtheanalog-to-digitalconverters
andcausedigitaldistortion.Digitaldistortionsoundsterrible,andcannotbeundoneif
recorded.Becauseofthis,it’simportanttokeepyoureyeonthisindicatorwhileyou’re
setting your levels.

Setting Main Outputlevel

Bydefault,theEncoder knobonyourRevelatorio24controlsthe outputlevel of
yourMainOutputs—theoutputsyouhaveyourspeakersconnectedto.Fromthe
home screen, press the Encoder repeatedlyuntil the speaker icon appears below the
Volumeindicator.Then rotatethe Encoder tosetthe desired Mainoutputlevel.
