Step 2.
Open gate and disconnect the two punch home switch wire terminals from the
micro switch. Observe the location of each wire terminal before removing.
Step 3.
Mark the position of the punch motor home switch before removing the two
mounting screws.
Step 4.
Replace switch in reverse order of removal.
Note: The cam bar switch plate shall defeat the punch home switch when the punch pins
are fully retracted from the media path. Adjust switch position if necessary.
7-22 Adjustable Clutch (Refer to Figure 7-5)
Step 1.
Remove the rear access panel. Refer to 7-1.

Step 2.
Open the supply cassette door.
Step 3.
Loosen the two hex head set screws that secure the clutch to the drag roller
shaft.
Step 4.
Remove the clutch.
Note: To facilitate clutch removal, rotate drag roller while pulling off clutch.
Step 5.
Replace the consumable items of the clutch (two Teflon™ washers, compression
spring, or neoprene washer) if worn.
Note: Periodically, the two Teflon™ washers may need replacement. The neoprene
washer should not be replaced unless it is damaged. The compression spring should not
be replaced unless a clutch tension of 40 ounces cannot be achieved.
Step 6.
Replace clutch in reverse order of removal. Refer to clutch tension adjustments in
Section 6.
Note: If roll pins (instead of dowel pins) are installed in base casting, locate the largest of
the three pins for correct clutch mounting orientation.
Note: If pins (roll or dowel type) do not extend to clutch plate, open gate, and use a wedge
punch to push pins outward. Be careful not to over extend pins.
