The charger also has a quick stop method for output 3. This stop is activated when the output
1 voltage reaches the specified lower limit due to a motor trip. This shutdown is especially
intended for the situation where the equipment is powered from a very discharged or degraded
battery (no proper AC at the input). In this situation, it prevents a motor manoeuvre from
causing the entire equipment to stop and the loss of communications power and native output.
After activation of this quick stop, the charger stops output 3 and ensures that all available
battery power is used to supply outputs 1 and 2 (native and communications) for as long as
possible. When it detects that there is a correct AC value at the input, the charger re-enables
output 3 (allowing the manoeuvre that had been cancelled by the quick stop).

MAINTENANCE: BATTERY REPLACEMENT:
14.1.1.1
CHARGER
The equipment does not require any specific preventative maintenance. For proper operation,
it is important that the air flow is not restricted. If dirt or lint accumulation is observed in the
ventilation slots, it is advisable to clean it.
Replacement material: In case of a fuse blowing, replacement is not recommended as this is
only caused by serious internal faults in the chargers.
In case of replacement, only another of the same type as those supplied with the equipment
should be used:
AC fuse:
5x20 slow crystal 5A
BATTERY fuse: Automotive Fast Acting Fuse 30ª

BATTERIES
The
EDT-150-5191 charger allows hot-swapping your batteries without disconnecting the
equipment.
•
Battery replacement may be due to:
-
Battery test failure.
-
Preventative maintenance or replacement campaigns
-
Other reasons (damage, breakage, etc.).
•
The procedure for replacing the batteries is as follows:
1.
Disconnect the batteries to be replaced and remove them from their location.
2.
Insert the new batteries and make the connections between them.
3.
Verify that the battery voltage is between 10.5 and 13V. It is not recommended to
install batteries with a voltage lower than 10V.
4.
Verify the polarity of the battery voltage.
5.
Connect batteries to the charger.
6.
Force a battery reconnection. To do this, you can:
a.
Press the "Battery Reconnect" button for 5 seconds.
