WATTS specification
IMPORTANT
: The bike must be AutoCal'd before making the WATTS meas-
urement. Also, the bike must be continuously pedaled between the min and max res-
istance WATTS measurements. If the pedals stop for more than 3-5 sec's, a new
AutoCal may occur invalidating the measurements.
Note
: If the bike fails the WATTS test, the brake pad gap may need to be calibrated.
9. Verify the bike operation per and return to service.
AutoCal Release 2 (AutoCal R2)
This procedure applies to bikes that have the updated second release AutoCal imple-
mentation. The bike comes with a factory manual AutoCal and will only require a new
manual AutoCal when either of the following conditions occur:

A legacy LPCA board is udated to the new LPCA board PN: 304638-102 and later.
l
An existing updated LPCA board (PN: 304638-102 and later) is replaced.
l
The zero resistance measured torque is or exceeds 14 in-lbs.
About AutoCal R2

l
No manual AutoCal is required at the start of or during a workout, no exerciser input is
required.
l
The bike is delivered with a factory manual AutoCal.
l
During workouts, the bike monitors the factory calibrated reference torque value and
makes corrections as needed to maintain correct power (WATTS) measurement res-
ults.
l
A field initiated manual AutoCal is only required when the initial factory AutoCal is no
longer valid as determined by one of the following conditions:
