Oxygen System.  Before consulting this Quick Reference Guide, the user should 

review and become familiar with the complete instructions and warnings, which 

are provided in the Praxair 

Grab ʼn Go Digital

Operating Instructions supplied with this product.

and understand the operating, maintenance, and safety instructions          

included in this Quick Reference Guide and in the Praxair

 Advanced Medical Oxygen System Operating Instructions.  

Warning: 

 This device is ONLY for use by, or on the order of, a physician.  

Do not activate the system unless you have been trained in its proper   

functioning or are under competent supervision.

Note:  

Read and understand the Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) for the    

materials used with this equipment.  All personnel who work in the 

vicinity  of  this  equipment  should  read,  understand,  and  follow  all  safety                

information contained in the SDSs and all applicable government        

regulations and facility safety regulations.

Warning:  

Never bypass safety device, and never operate the equipment 

outside its specified limits.

Danger: 

 Mishandling of pressurized process equipment or gas cylinders 

can result in death, serious injury, or property damage.  Handle pressurized 

equipment and cylinders with extreme care and in accordance with the 

manufacturer’s instructions.  Protect from impact.

The 

Grab ʼn Go Digital

 system cannot be used directly in the MRI bore.  

The system is MR conditional, and suitable for use during MR imaging for 

MRI systems up to 3.0 Tesla.

Safety Precaution Information

Warning: 

 Never attempt to repair any part of the 

Grab ‘n Go Digital

 

system.  Any system repairs must be performed by an authorized Praxair 

representative.

Operating Procedures

1. 

Turn the flow-adjusting knob to the prescribed flow rate.  Ensure that the flow-adjusting 

knob clicks into place.

2. 

Verify flow at the patient’s end of the tubing before administering to the patient.    

3. 

When finished, turn the flow-adjusting knob (E) to the OFF (—) position and remove 

supply from the patient.

Metered Flow:  Flow Rates (0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 15, or 25 LPM) 
Auxiliary Flow:  50 PSI (Maximum Aux Flow Rate up to 100 LPM)

Setup

1. 

Inspect the entire system including the barbed outlet port (F) and auxiliary connection 

port (G), for signs of physical damage or contamination (for example, oil and grease).  
If the system is damaged or contaminated, remove the system from service, turn the 

system off immediately, place it in a secure and well-ventilated area, mark the system as 

unserviceable, and notify Praxair.

2.  Check the digital pressure gauge to ensure the presence of adequate oxygen contents. 
3.  Verify that there are no existing alarm conditions.

4. 

V

erify that the flow-adjusting knob (E) is in the OFF position (—). 

To turn the flow-adjusting know (E) to the OFF position (—), rotate the            
flow-adjusting knob (E) counterclockwise until it stops.

5. 

Connect the supply hose to the 

Grab ’n Go Digital

 system.  For Metered Flow, connect 

the supply hose to the barbed outlet port (F).  For 50 PSI connection, connect the supply 

hose to the auxiliary connection port (G).

Warning: 

 Never connect a cannula, patient tubing, or mask directly to the 

Auxiliary Connection Port (E).  When the flow-adjusting knob (E) is in the                  
Auxiliary [A] setting, no oxygen is supplied to the barbed outlet port (F).
