JUMP STARTER
Locate the battery terminals. Check the battery
is 12V and maximum 1200 Cold Cranking Amps
Leave the startmonkey400 attached to the
vehicle battery for up to 60 seconds and then
turn on vehicle ignition as normal
DO NOT remove the startmonkey400 if the
green LED array is illuminated. The unit must
be turned off first
Connect the black crocodile clip to the –
terminal and the red crocodile clip to the +
terminal. The startmonkey400 unit should
switch on automatically
If vehicle does not start first time, remove
clips and then repeat steps 2-4. In very cold
temperatures this process may have to be
repeated several times
If the vehicle battery is below 6V the
startmonkey400 will need to be switched on
manually by pressing the ON/OFF button twice
in quick succession
Once the vehicle has started the startmonkey400
will turn off automatically and can be removed.
The startmonkey400 can also be switched off
manually by holding down the ON/OFF button

To illuminate the screen, press the ON/OFF
button for 1 second
The startmonkey400 will automatically detect
the voltage of the battery when attached. If 6V
to 14V are detected the unit will switch on
