INSTALLING OR REMOVING THE BATTERY PACK
Figure 2
1. To install the battery pack, insert the battery pack into the drill housing as shown in figure 2.
Always insert the battery pack all of the way until it locks in place with a little click. Lightly
pull on the battery to ensure it is locked into place and will not accidentally fall out of the drill,
causing an injury.
2. Do not use force when inserting the battery pack. If the battery pack does not slide in easily,
it is not being inserted correctly.
3. To remove the battery pack, withdraw it from the tool while depressing the tabs (1) on both
sides of the battery pack.
TRIGGER SWITCH ACTION
1. Turn the drill on by depressing the trigger switch.
2. Depressing the switch further will produce more speed and torque.
3. Use the reversing switch (see Parts Identification #6) to change the direction of rotation of
the drill.
NOTE:
Be sure the trigger is released and the unit has come to a complete stop when
changing the direction of rotation. Damage to the unit could result.
4. The reversing switch has three positions: Forward, Reverse, and Neutral (middle - locked)
NOTE:
Always store the tool in the neutral (middle - locked) position.
5. Always check the rotation before beginning your work.
LED WORK LIGHT
The tool has a built-in LED work light to illuminate the work area. When you depress the trigger switch,
the work light will automatically turn on.
ELECTRIC BRAKE
This drill is equipped with an electric brake. Like the torque settings, an electric brake provides you with
another element of control during various operations. If the tool consistently fails to quickly stop after
the trigger switch is released, have a qualified service technician examine the tool.
