2) Testing

The following tests shall be completed

before placing the switchgear into

operation:

a. A megger test shall be made to ensure

all connections made in the field are

free of undesirable grounds

b. A dielectric test shall be made on the

high voltage circuit for one minute at

the appropriate test voltage. (Voltage

transformers, CPTs, and surge arresters

must be disconnected during this test).

c. For Start Up and Commissioning refer

to TP1000 Major Electrical Equipment
