ADJUSTMENTS
Setting of spring tension (7a, 8a)
The bearing load of the mower bar on the ground is controlled by
the tension of the drawing spring.
1. Lift implement hydraulically (H2).
2. Secure both
chains (K).
3. Lower implement to the ground (H1).
In this position
the following
settings are to be
checked and
adjusted if
necessary.
Correct drawing spring (7a) tension
N = Setting measurement for implements without Conditioner
CR = Setting measurement for implements with Conditioner
Correct compression spring (8a) tension
N = Setting measurement for implements without Conditioner
CR = Setting measurement for implements with Conditioner
Adjusting the chains (7c)
1. Lower implement to the ground (H1).
The optimum angle of 65
°
between attaching frame and chain
should be kept as accurately as possible.
A tip
If a measuring device is not available for checking this angle, it can
be alternatively checked using the measurement 15 cm. An angle
of 90
°
could be used for this, for example.
1. Mark off (M) a length of 32 cm.
2. Hold the angle at the point where the attaching frame
and chain intersect (S).
3. Measure from the 32 cm mark (M) to the chain (7c).
If this distance is 15 cm then the angle is 65
°
.
Special add-on pieces
If the angle of 65
°
cannot be
attained due to the type of lifting
gear then the chains can be
correctly positioned through the
installation of special add-on
pieces.

Setting the position of the lever (7b)
1. Lower implement to the ground (H1).
2. Measure the distance between attaching frame and
screw (7b).
The distance should be 16 - 19 cm. This can be attained by cutting
the chains to the appropriate lengths.
Adjusting the Cutting Height
By turning the upper link spindle cutting disks can be brought into
a horizontal or slightly inclined forward position.
This inclination should not be more than 5
°
max.
