Setting the sewing speed
Flanging a Mattress Panel
The factory typically sets the stitch length at 3.5 to 4.5 stitches per inch. The
factory also sets the correct tensions and timing positions prior to shipping the

To flange a mattress panel:

Press the main sewing pedal in a downward motion with your heel to raise
the presser foot and the top feed.

Insert the flange material into the flange guide. Using the opening in the
guide, align the material with the needles.

Sew two or three stitches (approximately 10 mm), by pressing the main
sewing pedal in a forward motion with your toes.

Press the main sewing pedal in a downward motion with your heel to raise
the presser foot and the top feed.

From the left, insert the panel. Position the panel by moving it toward the
right.

When both panel and flange material are correctly positioned, press the
main sewing pedal in a forward motion with your toes, and begin sewing.
IMPORTANT!
Adjust panel position from beneath the presser foot.
